A worthwhile book which helped as our son has just died at 42 years old. It gave an insight into various matters that had not been thought of .

The author lost his wife to the same disease (cancer) and the book was written to help others.

Found it impossible to read as I was suffering my own pain and confusion so was unable to bear sharing CS Lewis' grief as well.

I have read this several times since purchasing it, and am sure I will read it again. It spoke to me powerfully as I grappled with sudden grief. The commentaries are also very helpful.

A very honest and helpful book. C.S.Lewis gives voice to his feelings following the death of his wife in dramatic fashion. A powerful book in it's own right made more effective and helpful by the addition of analysis by various readers.

Fascinating insight into bereavement. Comments and reflections from others also help the reader to formulate their own.

My loss was different to the authors, but the feelings and emotions are the same. Well written. Nice to know others feel as you do in similar situations.

Brilliant reading for anyone dealing with grief, particularly untimely loss. Easy to read, a wise and companionable comfort, as CS Lewis shares his intimate journey of grief after the death of his wife.

A great support? Addresses difficult issues and verbalises a whole range of thoughts. Am very much enjoying the authors contributions at the end of the book in particular Hiliary Mantels ideas.
